Ben – Hey Guys,
So I thought I would throw my 2c in on this convo about the Fortune Auto Coilovers.
I got a set off of Phill B back in January when I was swapping shells and decided to go coilovers, I thought for the price they looked good when compared to other brands as they have a bigger piston and the same features as anything else on the market.
Installation was simple with no issues.
Changing the height of the car is a breeze as they are base height adjustable, ive had to raise and lower the car a couple of times since installation and its been easy.
Ive also had to play the with the damper settings on both the front and rear due to dropping the car so low. Originally there was some slight scrubbing from the front and rear on the original damper settings (softest is the default setting).
So after a bit of mucking around with the dampers I have eliminated the scrubbing issues, and can actually feel the car sitting on the road harder when compared to the softest setting.
I had Teins in a previous car of mine and I like the ride of these a lot better, they handle hard bumps quite well and don’t send a massive jolt up your spine when you do inevitably hit a pothole, at the same time they are hard enough for the car not to scrub at its height.
Handling wise the car is awesome, almost no body roll and sticks to the road great.
All in all im extremely happy with them and would recommend them to anyone whose looking for an entry/mid level coilover for street/track use.

Yesterday PhillB came around and we got to test out his Fortune Auto coilovers. His 4 door R34 is absolutely dropped on these and we weren’t expecting a smooth ride but damn the ride was smooth as! Suspension absorbed all the small bumps no worries which made for a silky smooth ride.
Phill tells us they’re 2 clicks away from full stiff, so that leads us to believe that they’re more of a street coilover than anything for serious track work.
I chose Fortune Auto based on some research and word of mouth, and was pleased to see some competitively priced local support. The shock-dyno plots of these units compared to other brands in the price range were encouraging, and on receiving the Fortune Autos, I was impressed with the fit and finish.
